Did you know...-You can pick up your license at any County Clerk office.-It does not need to be the county where you live, and can be used in any county.-You both need to be present; if you cannot, then you must file an absentee affidavit and have it approved.-You need to wait 72 hours after you are issued your marriage license to get married. There are a few exceptions, all of which require a waiver which must be approved.-Marriage licenses, like milk, do expire. You need to marry within 90 days or it is void and you will have to purchase a new one.-You don't need a blood test or physical.-You don't need witnesses. Your wedding can be as few as three people (the couple and the officiant.)
-YOU MUST BRING YOUR LICENSE FOR YOUR MARRIAGE TO BE LEGAL. Please don't forget this most important rule.
