Everyone has heard of the flash or pop-up sale, where a tent pops up with a certain designer and they sell until out? Well, it is time for Minister on the Fly to do its first Pop-Up Wedding.
On Sunday August 16, starting at 10, I will do weddings in The Woodlands with a start time of 10 am. While there are no custom vows, this simple civil ceremony that will still be memorable. You come at your time, I marry you, and you can celebrate any way you choose.
Place to be determined; I am awaiting word from the township on Koi Park along the waterway, chosen because of its peacefulness and beauty. If the town objects, a new place will be chosen.
There are a few rules we have to follow:
Payment of $95 is due at the time you book.
Spots will be booked on a first come, first serve basis. The times will also be scheduled in that order.
Your marriage license must be at least 72 hours old by Sunday at 10 am. If you got it Friday, you cannot marry on Sunday.
Your license must not have expired. Your license is only good for 90 days; if is 91 days old, I cannot marry you.
Be on time! You get a 15 minute block which will get you in, get you married and get you on the way.
No guests. This is designed for people who want a quick but nice way to get married. Texas does not require witnesses, so you only need to bring yourselves.
That is about it. Watch us on Facebook and Twitter for more information.
